T-Ball - (Ages 4-6) TBall is the introduction level for young players to the fundamentals of the game, and to the concept of team play. All batting is done off a Tee. No scores are kept, everyone wins.
Farm - (Ages 6-7) Farm is an instructional league that continues teaching the fundamentals of the game and building player confidence. Batters get 3-5 Coach pitches then use a tee. Hitting is emphasized. Players should be encouraged to swing the bat, there are no walks. Scores are not kept.
AA Minors - (Ages 7-8) AA Minors is the transition division to Player Pitch. Live player pitching is introduced with coach assistance. This is an instructional league that emphasizes additional fundamentals including defensive positioning. This is the first level where only 9 defenders are utilized at any one time. Coaches are encouraged to develop multiple pitchers on their team. There are no walks at this level, but there are strikeouts. Scores are kept, but no team standings.
AAA Minors - (Ages 9-10) Players are drafted to teams. AAA Minors is an instructional league that allows players to continue building and refining their fundamental skills. Players are allowed to steal bases and strategy is now being introduced. Players are pitching exclusively. Scores are kept, but no team standings. Post season playoffs, TOCs and All-Stars are first experienced at the AAA Minors level. 8 year olds are eligible for this division, but are required to pass the assessment in order to play up.
Majors - (Ages 11-12) Players are drafted to teams. This is Little League. Majors division is still an instructional level, but with a competitive edge. Player skill level is much higher than that of AAA. Advanced play is faster and pitching becomes more consistent and accurate. Strategy becomes an integral part of the game. Even though exposure to all positions is encouraged, at this level kids will start to play at limited positions. Scores are kept, but no team standings. Post season playoffs, TOC’s, and All-Stars; the LL World Series is the culmination of Tournament play.
